Hobbies and Pastimes

We occasionally do something other than dahlias!
 

 

Class 1 – Art (painting, drawing, ceramics, etc.):  Create a colorful design with a distinct line.  Check out this website for a good definition and tips on “line”:

Class 2 – Reading:  Pick a favorite book, magazine, or poem and say it with flowers.  Put the name of the book, magazine, or poem on the Entry Tag.

 

Class 3 – Being Out in Nature (hiking, climbing, camping, communing, bird watching, etc.):  Create a design with a strong emphasis on natural elements (wood, stone, cattails, thistle, etc.)  Give your design a title on the Entry Tag.

 

Class 4 – Play Ball: Build a design that depicts any sport that uses a ball (baseball, football, soccer, ping pong, pickleball, etc.).  Make us laugh!

 

Class 5 – 20,000 Dahlias Under the Sea :  This class represents all the fun we can have in and on the water.  Make a design with dahlias under water (completely submerged, maybe less than 20,000) and some above if you wish.
